Child Care Director

The YMCA Learning Center in Batesville, Indiana seeks a Child Care Director to lead and manage daily operations of a licensed child care facility that includes before and after school care, summer camp, infant and toddler care and full‑day preschool. Key responsibilities include ensuring the safety and wellbeing of up to 193 children, preparing and managing budgets, recruiting and supervising staff, maintaining files and records, ensuring proper staffing coverage, executing sound administration and management, sustaining NAEYC accreditation and compliance with laws and regulations, promoting program quality and sustainability, and developing community relationships. Candidates must be at least 21 and possess either a bachelor’s degree in early childhood or elementary education (or a degree with 15 credit hours in child development), a CDA or a two‑year associate degree in early childhood education with relevant experience.
