About the role
The YMCA of Northern BC is recruiting a Child Care Operations Manager to oversee licensed child care programs in the North Peace region (Fort St. John). Reporting to the Director of Child Care Services, the operations manager provides leadership and management to multiple centres, leads human resource management, develops and implements operational plans and budgets, ensures financial sustainability, oversees quality assurance and program standards, ensures compliance with municipal, provincial and national regulations, manages staff scheduling and recruitment, and builds relationships with staff, volunteers and community partners. The full‑time role pays between $60,000 and $65,000 per year plus a $4/hr wage enhancement for qualifying licensed ECEs and offers benefits such as four weeks of vacation, a YMCA membership, paid sick days, family sick days, comprehensive benefits, an annual YMCA pension contribution and a child care discount. Qualifications include a post‑secondary degree or diploma in child development or related field, at least three years’ management experience, professional references, a current immunization record and TB screening, Child Care First Aid & CPR‑C certification, a satisfactory criminal record check and vulnerable sector search, physical ability to perform tasks and a reliable vehicle.
