Childcare Educator

The YMCA of Eastern Ontario is seeking Childcare Educators for part‑time, permanent and casual positions in Brockville. Educators work flexible hours between 6:45 am and 5:45 pm Monday to Friday and are occasionally required to work evenings or weekends. Compensation ranges from $22.05 to $23.86 per hour. The role involves assisting with planning, organizing and implementing the YMCA child care program, adhering to policies and procedures and meeting or exceeding standards required by the Ministry of Education, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children, upholding the YMCA’s philosophy and values and guiding children in their physical, social, cognitive and emotional development according to the Child Care Early Years Act. Qualifications include a recent criminal reference check with vulnerable sector clearance, experience with children from birth to age 6, knowledge of play‑based pedagogy, a diploma in Early Childhood Education and registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators (asset), up‑to‑date immunizations and current Standard First Aid and CPR Level C.
